Here’s another chance to take a look at some of the things that we’ve been shouting about this week. We’re always sharing stories about people who are changing their world for the better, and giving you tools and tips to help you do the same. Where technology meets the environment. Take a look at these 5 Eco-Friendly Apps. They were set up at a hackathon which brought the New York tech community together to code apps with the potential to make the city more green. You can vote for your favourite and which one you think should be funded on this Facebook Page.

Are you ready for this Run Dem Crew film? Here’s a teaser trailer to show you just some of what Run Dem Crew are about.

The Run Dem Crew Youngers project gives you the tools to change lives through sport and creativity. Find out more by heading to our Run Dem Crew Youngers page, and you can see what the Youngers are up to by heading to their Facebook Page, following their Tumblr or keeping your eye on the #RDCYoungers hashtag on Twitter.

A new app called Favortree coming soon. This app turns doing one another small favours into a game. On their blog they say, “With Favortree you can help your friends and neighbors by sharing goods and completing small favors. Borrow a lawn mower, lend a video game, offer a ride to the airport or find a babysitter.” If you’re interested, you can currently pre-register for the app here.

Teaching music technology and offering design services alongside college and a part-time job. Find out about this hard working Live UnLtd Award Winner, Harley Sanders, who is running after-school sessions to teach younger students about music technology, making music and DJing so that they can learn new skills and have more to do outside of school time.

21-year-old sets up a clothing store in his living room. Jacob Porter-Jones set up a clothes shop in his house after finding it too expensive to commute to his apprenticeship at a tailors and struggling to find full-time work once he had to move home. He took his love of quality clothing and decided he could make things happen for himself. Read more here.
